If a picture is worth a thousand words, these images of Minister TikTok, the mediocre Somali Minister of Defense, allegedly an asset of the Turkish intelligence, along with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s daughter and two other relatives for note-taking purposes, illustrate the current state of affairs in Somalia – a state marked by ineptness, nepotism and foreign intelligence interference.
Sultan ibn Sultan dug deep and found out who met who in Cairo:
The Egyptian military brass that met the Somali delegation included:
1. General Abdul Majid Saqar, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production
2. Lt. General Ahmed Fathy, Chief of General Staff (Armed Forces)
3. Rear Admiral Ashraf Ibrahim, Chief of Staff (Navy)
4. Air Vice Marshal (Lt. General) Mahmoud Fouad Mohamed Abdel Gawad, Air Force Commander
5. Lt. General Yasser Mohamad Kamal al-Toudi, Air Defense Forces Commander
Meanwhile the Somalia delegation that met Egypt’s top military brass consisted of:
1. Minister TikTok, Somalia Minister of Defense, civilian with no military experience but renown for his viral TikTok videos
2. Abdullahi Abdirahman – NISA intelligence officer
3. Jihan Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President Hassan Sheikh’s Daughter
4. Minister TikTok’s Secretariat
And just in case one might ask, ‘why Somalia is a failed state,’ public feedback on X provided some clues as to why:
@AbdiAbdinur: “There’s a reason why some countries are failed states – no surprise.”
@shandarmood: “7 top Egyptian senior generals met with 4 inexperienced Somali civilians. There will be no further comment.”
@EIshmael_: “#Somalia doesn’t suffer from a lack of qualified individuals; the real problem is the corrupt and incompetent leadership of Hassan Sheikh. He’s tearing apart the country’s institutions, sabotaging its progress, and shamelessly engaging in nepotism by forcing his unqualified children into crucial meetings.”
@Osmanshiil: “Any 1 with even a modicum of intellect would grasp the dire & vulnerable situation of the country represented by the people on the left. The glaring disparity in experience & age underscores the deep & alarming crisis this nation’s entangled in.”
