Leaders of political organizations in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, including politicians, diaspora members, and intellectuals, have established the Somali Alliance Party that will unite the Somali people in the Somali State.
The leaders expressed their extreme concern over the continuous attacks on Somalis and Somali territories, in particular Western Sitti and Dire Dawa,
by the Oromos and Afars led by their respective regional states with the help of the federal government.
The leaders raised the alarm over the lack of representation for the Somali people, highlighting the absence of power-sharing mechanisms.
The leaders also called for an immediate end to organized hostilities and invasions against the Somali people and their territories by ethnic Oromos and Afars along with their regional state with the full support of Addis Ababa.
