Ahmed Muumin Seed criticizes VP Saylici of Somaliland: Don’t you forget that everyone, except you, represents his people and region!

Ahmed Muumin Seed, the expelled member of the Kulmiye Party executive committee, hailing from the Awdal region of the Samaroon clan, who dared to post a brief essay of the situation in Laascaanood and the immorality of Somaliland government in organizing rallies in Hargeisa and Burco supporting the war and bloodshed in Laascaanood, has today gone after Somaliland Vice President Saylici, who also happens to hail from the same Samaroon clan.

VP Saylici in an interview in Hargeisa has criticized Somaliland Speaker of the House, and said that “the Speaker has gone rogue.” Not only did VP Saylici criticize the Speaker, but he has also gone after the SSC-Khatumo Council of Elders and the 33-member committee by calling them ‘mad men.’ VP Saylici continued on by saying, “the Speaker should not have sat next to that blue flag and follow the footsteps of these mad men. He should have remained the sane one in the asylum.”

In response to that unexpected affront to the people of SSC and their leaders by VP Saylici, Mr. Ahmed Muumin Seed posted portions of the VP Saylici’s statement on his Facebook with the following statement: “You are right, the Speaker wasn’t elected from Gabiley and Hargeisa. Speaker Abdirisak Khalif was representing his people [the people of SSC-Khatumo]. As for you [VP Saylici], did you forgot you were elected by your people [the Samaroon people of Awdal region]? Don’t you forget that everyone, except you, represents his people and region.”

VP Saylici, often accused of not representing his people and region, but being a mere puppet of President Muse Bihi and his constituency, hasn’t responded to Mr. Seed.

Borama, the capital of Awdal region, similar to Laascaanood, has seen the Blue Revolution brewing in the region, and Somaliland has bused busloads of youth from Hargeisa to forcefully quell the unrest, which continues unabated.
