Senior Programme Assistant (Database & Reporting), Galkayo, Somalia
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer and the overall supervision of the Head of Area Office, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure timely receipt of the distribution reports and enter data in the COMET platform;
- Review the accuracy of the data in COMET and submit for validation;
- Prepare the distribution plan in liaison with the focal point and partners;
- Prepare registration plans and liaise with the respective focal points in ensuring timely registration;
- Undertake field visits to ensure proper biometric registrations are being conducted;
- Plan and prepare distribution cycles for the Cash and Voucher (C&V) projects under the Area Office;
- Follow-up with partners on the progress of redemption of the voucher/cash;
- Liaise with Logistics Unit to update the Cash and Voucher (C&V) tracking sheet;
- Assist in the preparation of the weekly and monthly management reports and monthly consolidation of beneficiaries table for submission to the County Office;
- Assist in the preparation of periodic outcome and visibility reports for donors;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: |
Completion of secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses in development economics, monitoring and evaluation, food security or other related field. |
Experience: |
At least five years of progressive responsible experience of which at least one year closely related to programme functions. Experience working on development, food and humanitarian assistance, food security analysis projects would be an added advantage.

Language: |
Fluency in both oral and written communication in Somalia and English is a requirement.

Knowledge: |
Experience utilising computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other software packages. Knowledge of WFP regulations and rules, and WFP policies and procedures in the area of work would be an added advantage. |
