In a hard hitting piece he posted on his X page, MP Kulane recounts President Hassan Sheikh’s two years in office as years of failure after failure and looting spree after looting spree. He describes these past two years that President Hassan Sheikh has been at the helm of the nation as the most damning and damaging years Somalia has ever witnessed.
MP Kulane begins his brief essay that “President Hassan Sheikh’s two years anniversary is filled with strings of failures.” Of these failures, the MP starts with that the “Somali National Army is [being] intentionally dismantled and the war on Al-Shabab is never planned to win.”
He then bounces on the President’s unbelievable appetite for corruption and writes that the President’s “Anticorruption Commission is disbanded few months from his inauguration to give way the looting spree we have witnessed.”

On the President well-known illegal acquisition of land and real properties, he blames the President that “Land grab reached to a point where HSM administration excavated the bodies of deceased only to inherit the few meters the dead were resting.”
As to where the country is headed, MP Kulane paints a dire picture and a nation teetering on the edge of the abyss. He worries that the nation is uncontrollably “swirling down into unpredictable and dangerous political uncertainty.”
On the relationship between the center and the periphery, MP Kulane writes that the “Federal and regional bodies have no known election dates for continuation and stability. HSM is keeping regional leaders hostage as their mandate expired.”
On geopolitics where multipolarity and strategic relations are paramount, and where Somalia, a resource rich country, lies in a highly strategic location, MP Kulane sees an administration that let alone develop strategic partners, it doesn’t even value relationships. The MP writes that Villa Somalia political scene is dominated by “Buffoonery foreign engagement- inviting geopolitical tussle in the country, keeping mouse and cat in one pocket and zigzagging into an uninformed foreign policy by signing any dotted line that comes to his desk with few dimes in it.”
In concluding his essay, MP Kulane describes President Hassan Sheikh as a wanna-be autocrat who, “Continues to break down government institutions, consolidating institutional powers and eliminating checks and balances while micromanaging to the lowest branch of government.”
Fearing for the country and the direction President Hassan Sheikh is leading the nation to, MP Kulane finally concludes, “Never have we imagined such a destruction to our governance.”
