PUBLIC CALLS FOR PRESIDENT HASSAN SHEIKH TO RESIGN GROWING

DISASTROUS FOREIGN POLICY DECISIONS THAT SOME CALL NATIONAL BETRAYALS AND DOMESTIC POLICIES THAT PUT THE NATION ON THE BRINK OF CIVIL WAR ARE TO BLAME

President Hassan Sheikh isn’t well lately, politically that is, and the latest pictures prove it.

The President traveled to Eritrea in an effort to save the Asmara Tripartite Alliance that was created by Somalia allies Egypt and Eritrea in order to deter Ethiopia from accessing Somalia seas. However, President Hassan Sheikh with Erdogan’s suggestion betrayed the alliance by signing the Ankara Declaration that granted Ethiopia the right “to enjoy reliable, secure and sustainable access to and from the [Somalia] sea.”

Both Egypt and Eritrea didn’t appreciate such blatant backstabbing and as such President Hassan Sheikh had to travel to Eritrea and send his Foreign Minister to Egypt to somehow salvage the Alliance and of course the president’s dwindling political fortunes.

The Somali people don’t appreciate such paramount betrayals of both country and alliances either. Sheikhnor Qassim of South West State of Somalia blames the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia mainly President Hassan Sh. Mohamud and Speaker Aadan Madobe of “not following the constitution and the laws of the country and not having the knowledge and the vision to lead the government.”

Sheiknor Qassim recommends, “Because of their dismal failures, they should resign from the leadership of the country so that the Republic can find a leader who can save Somalia from the coming invasion.”

The Isbahaysi Media Network in its latest editorial also has very harsh words for President Hassan Sheikh and they write, “Hassan Sheikh’s problem is he has no respect or authority at home or overseas. He has no credible Prime Minister or government. He has no friends in his own UPD party. His many foreign travels produce no results and waste taxpayers money. He has no clear direction for Somalia. His failure is clear for all to see.”

With dwindling political fortunes aboard and no political capital whatsoever at home, will President Hassan Sheikh heed the advice of the Somali public or will all eventually collapse around him as earlier predicted by WDM in their latest editorial?
