THE BRITISH BETRAYAL OF THE USA: Forgotten Russia-USA Tradition of Alliance and Friendship from the American Civil War to World War II

Alex Krainer on Dialogue Works explores the intricate history of US-Russia relations, tracing their origins back to the US Civil War. During this time, Russia played a pivotal role in aiding President Abraham Lincoln to preserve the Union against a British, French, and Vatican-backed plan to partition the United States into two smaller, weaker entities.

Krainer also examines the 1867 sale of Alaska to the United States, theorizing it as part of a broader strategy to even bring the two countries closer and connect them via the Bering Strait.

Putin tried to continue that strategy; however, the British eventually managed to undermine the strong ties between the US and Russia.

The tradition of British interference continues today, with efforts to destabilize both nations and their allies. An example of this is of course Somalia, where British are pushing for the partition of Somaliland separatists, similar to how they influenced the annexation of NFD into Kenya and the Ogaden into Ethiopia.
