Puntland’s shameless opposition politicians are lately trying so hard to find society members who agree with their anti-democratic stance in Puntland. These days they can hardly find anyone who sympathizes with them let alone agree with their election opposition. The opposition is also finding it difficult to explain their stance to the public and to the media.
With the exception of midnight press releases, to date, there hasn’t been a single opposition politician who stood in front of the media and explained to the public why he or they oppose Puntland elections. And of course, there is not a single ‘she’ who opposes Puntland democratization.
Bossaso community elders stand up for Puntland democratization and reject those who oppose elections: "The folks who are yelling from Garoowe [anti-democratic forces] are Aranjaan [Devil's Kids], and they are well-known for stealing public funds. But, with the exception of Aranjaan political group (roughly translated ‘the Devils’ Kids’), who have for now succeeded to have Garoowe, Dangorayo and Godobjiraan elections temporarily delayed, and have an outstanding warrant for their arrest, who are the rest of the shameless politicians in Garoowe and in Galkayo accused of working on behalf of Villa Somalia?
Public reaction to the arrest warrants issued by Puntland Attorney General to four Aranjaan (Devils' Kids) defendants including Hassan Shire Abgaal, the fired former Puntland finance minister, and Khadar Abdirahman Faroole, former president Faroole's son, also President… https://t.co/Yj8Q1EeMvV pic.twitter.com/wQCSm7xtKQ

It is an election eve, a day very dear for the people of Puntland. As such, while we keep our eyes and ears wide open for election spoilers, Daljir has taken the position of releasing their names after the election. However, we encourage our listeners and readers to share with us as much information as possible on those shameless politicians who have previously stood for Puntland democratization, but when it counted most opposed the will of the people to elect their representatives.
As Minister Juxa, on election eve, has reminded the people of Puntland, “Throughout our struggles, we also had appeasers in our midst. And keep in mind, it has always been very few people with far reaching vision that led us from difficult situations, and the rest of the people just followed their lead, where others tried to trip them. Today is similar to such earlier days.”
On the eve of Puntland elections, Minister @FarahJuxa looks back at history and the struggle of the people of Puntland for freedom and democracy: "Throughout our struggles, we also had appeasers in our midst. When these regions were under suppression by Siad Barre's Revolution,… https://t.co/CV9zvcUQGj pic.twitter.com/ynNfyRZrm7

With the exception of Garoowe, an Aranjaan stronghold, let the elections begin. Let people of Puntland express their will. But after the election, let us not forget to name and shame the shameless politicians who have always claimed to stand for democracy; however, when it counted most, when the day arrived, when the people of Puntland wanted to express their will, they opposed the will of the people. They tried to deny them democracy, but they couldn’t.
on 25th of May, people of Puntland will win, and the shameless politicians will lose.
